PhotoProNet.com upgrade: Secure PhotoManager
We are upgrading our image upload servers to keep your confidential information, images, and websites safe and secure, and to keep pace with the security standards set by the credit card processing industry. To accommodate this change we are issuing PhotoManager v5.1.015, which integrates Secure FTP into your photo uploads.
Please Note: Previous versions of Photo Manager will no longer work after September 12, 2011. FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS AFTER MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12:
If you already have auto-update turned on, this upgrade will happen seamlessly. If you do not have auto-update enabled, please get the latest version of Photo Manager.
For those of you who have not updated in a while, with Photo Manager 5.1.015, we resolved many issues such as:
-
Works with OSX 10.7 Lion.
-
Merging issues should be addressed.
-
No more random caption search turned on after upload/merge.
-
Several OOB exception crashes now handled.
-
XML importing issues addressed.
-
Missing profiles no longer missing.
-
Much more robust handling of uploads that include sub-folders.
-
Plus many moreā¦
As of version 5.1.015 PhotoManager uses a secure SSL connection to log onto the FTP host and to transfer files. As part of this change, PhotoManager now sends your images to the server in batches. Each time PhotoManager launches a new batch, a command shell window appears while the batch is transferring. This may take between 15 seconds and 1 minute, depending on factors such as the amount of RAM your computer has and your connection speed. The window will appear similar to the image on the top-left side of this article.
PC USERS - IMPORTANT: Do not close this window when it appears. If it is closed, your images will not transfer up to the host.
